PrepRoom College was built for families who want a steady, neutral voice in a noisy space. We're not agents. We're not scouts. We don't sell placements. Our only job is to help families see the pathway clearly and make the next move with confidence.
Why we exist
Families in Grades 8–12 are told a lot of things by a lot of people — most of whom are selling something. Programs, agents, advisors, showcases. The advice bends toward whoever's paying.
We started PrepRoom to be the opposite of that: a planning partner families can trust because we don't take fees from programs, don't represent students, and don't broker placements.
What we do
We help families read where their student actually stands, understand the range of realistic options, and identify the next three moves that matter. That's it. No highlight reels. No promises. No pipeline.
Some families work with us once. Others stay with us across grades. Both are fine. We're here when the decision matters.
Who's behind PrepRoom College
Two advisors, two pathways, one plan.
Dr. Patricia Wodi, MD, FAAP, BCC
Academic & Merit Pathway, Co-Founder
Dr. Wodi is a board-certified pediatrician and experienced college consultant. She brings both clinical expertise in adolescent development and hands-on experience with the admissions process — helping students build a college list that actually fits them, plan coursework and testing with enough runway to do it well, and shape an application that reflects who they are rather than a generic template. She has helped students in her community successfully navigate the transition from high school to college and university.
Voke Boghean
Athletic Pathway, Co-Founder
Voke's approach to athletic recruiting started the same place most PrepRoom College families are starting now — as a parent, working through the process without a clear playbook. She guided two of her own children through recruiting to athletic scholarships, and built PrepRoom College's athletic pathway around what that taught her firsthand: what actually moves a timeline, and what's just noise families get told to worry about.
What we stand for
Independence
No kickbacks. No referral fees. No program partnerships that bias our read.
Honesty
If the answer is 'this isn't realistic,' we'll say so — kindly, but clearly.
Long view
Grades 9 and 10 quietly decide what's possible later. We plan accordingly.
What we are not
- We are not agents or representatives. We don't sign students, and we don't take a cut of anything an student signs later.
- We are not scouts. We don't evaluate on-ice talent for programs or promise exposure.
- We are not a placement service. We don't get paid by prep schools, junior teams, or academies.
- We are not affiliated with the NCAA or any college, league, or team unless expressly stated.
