For Athletes
Own your pathway. Skip the noise.
Everyone will have an opinion about your next team, your next camp, your next school. Most of them are working for themselves. PrepRoom Athlete works for you — an independent partner who helps you see where you actually stand and what to do next, without the pitch.
Why this matters — now
The clock is quieter than it feels
The moves that matter most rarely feel urgent when you make them. Grade 9 and 10 decide more than most players realize.
Not every opportunity is a good one
Some teams, camps and offers look better than they are. Others matter more than they seem. Knowing the difference is the whole game.
You should understand your own plan
The best players we work with can explain their pathway in a few clear sentences. That's not luck — it's planning.
What you'll walk away with
Clarity you can actually use.
A read on where you stand
Honest, current, and specific to you — not compared against a highlight reel.
A realistic range of options
What's on the table now, and what would open up more of it.
Your next three moves
Small enough to actually do. Big enough to matter.
Straight answers
Nothing you'll hear from someone trying to recruit you, place you, or sell you a camp.
Where are you today?
Every grade has its own set of quiet decisions. Here's the shape of it — the specifics are what a pathway call is for.
Build the habits — on the ice and in the classroom — that keep every door open later.
Get your development environment and school situation lined up before the timeline speeds up.
Read interest honestly. Cut through the noise. Make the next 12 months count.
Weigh what's in front of you against real fit — not just the loudest offer.
How we work with players
Not an agent. Not a scout. On your side.
We don't represent players, we don't place them, and we don't take fees from teams or camps. That means the read you get is the read we actually have — not the one that pays us. Your pathway. Your call.
Things players ask us
Do I need my parents to sign up?
For younger athletes, we do the pathway call with a parent on the line — the decisions here are family decisions. Older players often lead the call themselves.
Is a pathway call going to tell me I'm not good enough?
No. It's not a scouting evaluation. It's an honest read on where you stand and what a realistic next 12–24 months could look like — with options that actually fit you.
What if I'm not sure NCAA is the goal?
Perfect time to talk. Part of the pathway is figuring out what you actually want the next few years to look like, not just chasing a label.
Can this replace my coach or trainer?
No — and it's not meant to. Your coach handles the on-ice work. We handle the map: school, timing, options, and the decisions between them.
Ready to see your pathway clearly?
30 minutes. No obligation. You'll leave with a read on where you stand, a realistic range of options, and the next three moves.
