For Teams & Academies
Give your families the pathway education they're already asking for.
Every season, parents corner your staff with the same questions about NCAA, U.S. college hockey and what to do next. PrepRoom Athlete gives your organization a neutral, independent partner who can answer those questions — without recruiting, placing or selling anything to your players.
Why teams and academies partner with us
Families want answers you shouldn't have to give
Recruiting rules, NCAA eligibility, timing, school choices — your staff isn't there to be a college advisor. We are.
Neutral means trusted
Because we don't recruit, place or represent players, families take the information at face value — and your program keeps its focus.
It's a real differentiator
Programs that invest in family education stand out. It signals that you take the long view, not just the current season.
What we offer
Three ways to work together.
Season kickoff
Family info session
A neutral 60–75 minute session for parents on the NCAA and U.S. college hockey pathway — how it actually works, what grade-level timelines look like, and the questions worth asking early.
In-person or virtual · Full team / age group
Deeper dive
Parent workshop series
A multi-session workshop for families across a season — pathway fundamentals, decision points by grade, and open Q&A. Ideal for programs that want ongoing education, not a one-off.
3–4 sessions · Virtual
Ongoing partnership
Advisory partnership
PrepRoom becomes your organization's referenced independent pathway partner. Families get a clear, neutral resource; your staff gets to stop being the college advisor.
Annual · Custom scope
How it works
Intro conversation
Short call with your GM, director or coaching staff to understand your program and families.
Right-sized scope
We recommend the format — one session, a workshop series, or a full partnership — that fits your season and audience.
Deliver & support
We run the sessions with your families and stay available as an independent resource through the season.
Our commitment to your program
We are not agents. We are not scouts. We are not recruiting your players.
We don't take placement fees from programs. We don't represent players. We won't pull athletes toward any team, camp or academy — including our own partners. Our value to your organization is exactly the fact that your families can trust what we tell them.
Questions programs ask us
Will you try to steer our players elsewhere?
No. We're not recruiting for anyone. Pathway advice is grounded in what's right for each family — and staying with your program is very often the right answer.
Do you share family info back to our staff?
No. Family conversations stay confidential. We can share aggregate themes ("a lot of Grade 10 families are asking about X") to help your program, never individual details.
How much does a partnership cost?
It depends on scope — a single info session is very different from a season-long advisory partnership. We'll scope it in the intro call.
Can you speak to just our coaching staff, not families?
Yes. We also do staff briefings on the current NCAA / U.S. college hockey landscape so your coaches can point families in the right direction without becoming college advisors.
Bring independent pathway education to your program.
Start with a short intro conversation. We'll listen, then recommend the format that actually fits your organization and your season.
